Key streets in Plainfield will be closed for snow removal on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4 a.m. to noon. Drivers are asked to move vehicles to prevent towing and help crews clear the roads quickly.

 

Closures affect West Front Street between Park Avenue and Central Avenue, Watchung Avenue from East 4th Street to the city border, and South Avenue between Berckman Street and Watchung Avenue.

 

No-parking signs have been posted, with some locations restricting parking until 4 p.m. Nearby lots and garages are available for residents during the closure.

 

Morning commuters and families should expect delays and plan for alternate routes.
