The Queen City Film Festival (QCFF) is set to return to Plainfield, New Jersey, from October 16 to 19, 2025, marking its eighth year of celebrating independent cinema.
Hosted by the Queen City Film & Television Workshop, a nonprofit dedicated to providing free TV and film production training to local youth, the festival has become a cornerstone of the community's cultural landscape.
Over four days, attendees can immerse themselves in a diverse selection of films, including shorts, documentaries, digital series, horror, and feature-length narratives.
The festival's mission is to uplift underrepresented filmmakers and foster a space for both emerging and seasoned artists to showcase their work.
In addition to film screenings, QCFF offers workshops, networking opportunities, vendor booths, parties, and an awards ceremony.
Community partners, such as local restaurants, shops, and Airbnb hosts, play a vital role in enhancing the festival experience.
Notably, the 2025 honorees include Naturi Naughton Lewis, recipient of the Vanguard Award, and R. Marcus Taylor, honored with the Achievement Award.
The festival also continues its commitment to youth mentoring through the Plainfield Film and Television Production Training Program, providing local youth with access to film production tools, professional mentorship, and career counseling.
